Free webinar presented by OTF and OMLTA: Building Student Confidence and Participation in Core French – Tuesday, November 7

Join OMLTA President 2015-16 Jennifer Rochon for an outstanding, free learning opportunity, presented by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation.

Tuesday, November 7
7:30 PM: Free, online

In 2013, the Ontario Ministry of Education published “A Framework for French as a Second Language in Ontario Schools”, intended to guide the development of FSL programs across the province. This document identifies goals for FSL education in Ontario which include greater student confidence and proficiency, and increased retention to Grade 12.

In this webinar, participants will be learning concrete strategies that classroom teachers can use to promote greater enrolment in FSL programs in their schools. We will also examine strategies to reduce risk and increase student confidence in French. This session will be conducted largely in French.
