I look SO forward to the yearly OMLTA spring conference. It comes at just the right time when we all need our batteries recharged. I return to school on Monday morning after the weekend conference bursting with renewed enthusiasm and ideas that I can hardly wait to implement. I carry in my mind’s eye the group of elementary school boys brought to one of the workshops to demonstrate the AIM program. They were so impressive, earnest (and cute!). But I will remain forever grateful to the OMLTA for giving me the opportunity to further develop my teaching skills through a month of professional development at the stage BELC in France, offered free by the French embassy in Toronto. That was such an enriching PD opportunity from which other students and teachers have benefitted as I have shared the knowledge gained there. I have remained in contact with other French teachers from around the world that I met there. Thank you to the OMLTA and the French embassy in Toronto for helping to build the road to French language acquisition that we are all travelling together as a global community.
